Unlike most seasonal flowers, spring flowers require a little additional care when you receive them cut. Tulips and hyacinths continue to grow after they are cut, the flowers get larger and the stems can lengthen by several inches. Over the course of a week, the flowers become increasingly expressive as the stems twist and the blossoms splay open., often become “head heavy”. While this is also a beautiful natural look, sometimes that's not the one you're after. When you receive your mixed bouquet, you might have noticed that they have been cut slightly shorter than the other flowers. We tuck the stems deep into the arrangement, and as they lengthen, they will gradually grow into the correct position. After a few days it...
With wreaths being more popular than ever this year and plenty of workshops around, here are a few things we get asked a lot and is useful to know. - Why do we teach on moss? We find a moss base is easy to use with our wire method and it creates a great shape. - Can I use any other base? Of course you can, willow, a simple metal ring, straw or any other firm base can be used with the same method. You can also swap out the wire for string. - Why do you not recommend oasis rings? Oasis is a single use plastic that takes hundreds of years to decompose, we do our best to steer clear of it....

Over the past six years since Tiger Lily was born we have been part of hundreds of events and creative projects. With our background in fine art and photography, we have slowly realised that our role went above and beyond florals and we were lucky to coordinate interior design projects, oversee refurbishments, give advice on colour themes, style events down to the last fork, art direct photo shoots, become creative director to an art project and exhibition, produce visual content for social media for several small businesses and occasionally even model the products. We have realised the growing demand and how this has all evolved into a job on its own right and we are now officially ready to make...
After a long period of searching for the perfect solutions and with a very successful test run on Mother’s Day, we are officially removing all unnecessary packaging. We feel that even tho our flower bags and cellophane has been recyclable for a while now, there’s still more we could do. From the end of March we’ve opted to deliver all of our arrangements in a glass jar instead of an aqua pack and just use a simple recyclable brown paper to protect the blooms from bruising in the van during deliveries. We have seen how popular our ‘Zerowaste posies’ were in the past few years and we will continue to run our ‘Vaserturn’ service that will enable you 10% off...
