It’s the time of the year when nature finally wakes up and everything starts growing. We’ve been sowing seeds, planting bulbs and keeping top of all spring gardening duties such as weeding, fertilizing the soil for the new season and regularly watering seedlings. Some of our perennials have been growing all winter and we can already harvest cut flowers which is a nice little treat when all is still in such early stages.
Our to do list this month:
-plant our remaining seedlings such as snapdragons, Chinese forget-me nots, succession of basil, succession of zinnias
-plant the last few new variety of dahlias we’re trialling this year
-clean pathways and refresh the wood chips
-keep on top of netting and support for the sweet peas
-direct sow another succession of nigellas
All the while watering everything and keeping the pesky weeds at bay.
