With wreaths being more popular than ever this year and plenty of workshops around, here are a few things we get asked a lot and is useful to know.
- Why do we teach on moss?
We find a moss base is easy to use with our wire method and it creates a great shape.
- Can I use any other base?
Of course you can, willow, a simple metal ring, straw or any other firm base can be used with the same method. You can also swap out the wire for string.
- Why do you not recommend oasis rings?
Oasis is a single use plastic that takes hundreds of years to decompose, we do our best to steer clear of it.
- Will my wreath live until Christmas?
We select a mix of foliage and decor that will preserve in shape and colour or stays hydrated for a long time. As a florist we spent a long time learning about plants, your wreath should be safe in our hands and under our guidance.
- What shall I do in January when it's time to pack it all away?
We provide instructions on our blog how to take them apart and also offer a wreath amnesty if you bring it in the shop, we'll take care of the dismantle for you for free.
- I missed out on the workshop but I really want to learn!
We offer DIY kits online with a full free step-by-step tutorial and also sell all materials in the shop, pop in and we will be happy to give advice.
